Description:

A BS/BA, EE/CS or equivalent. 5+ years related industry experience designing and implementing networks is required. Knowledge of LAN internetworking principles and protocols is essential. Must be well versed in TCP/IP addressing, transparent and source route bridging. Should have a good understanding of several of the following and be very well versed in at least one of the following: AppleTalk, DecNet, Banyan Vines, HDLC PPP, Microsoft Windows networking (LANman/SMB/CIFS), Novell NetWare/UnixWare X.25. Working knowledge of internetworking products is desired. Should have knowledge of Frame Relay, ISDN and xDSL. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. Must understand and be conversant with regard to company and product: strengths, weaknesses and opportunities. Must be able to apply marketing principles to technical issues.

Determines network requirements and designs efficient, cost-effective internetworks based on product specifications and customer requirements. Performs technical presentations to customers and prospects. Assists in the development and generation of formal sales proposals to ensure technical accuracy. Performs equipment demonstrations for existing and prospective customers and sales force. Performs technical marketing functions to designated regions in support of strategic sales efforts.
